March 1 was National Peanut Butter Day, but the entire month has been set aside to pay homage to the peanut in all of its perfection.

In the fall, many readers have probably purchased a sack of freshly roasted peanuts in the shell at an open-air market or had a sack of roasted nuts for a ballpark snack.

Almost all of us have had peanuts ground into peanut butter — either creamy, the most popular, or crunchy, my personal favorite.Everything from breakfast food to salads, main dishes including grilled and stir-fried meats, and appetizers as well as desserts are always better with roasted peanuts tossed in.

And this week I’m sharing some peanut recipes for you to try.Not only do peanuts taste good, but recent nutrition studies show peanuts and peanut butter are also good for you. They have been found to protect against breast cancer and fight adult-onset diabetes.

Coincidentally, March is National Nutrition Month — a great time to recognize the nutritional value of peanuts.

About 1,000 salmon were washed onto beaches after they spilled from a net when a fisherman misjudged the size of a school he caught.

Other fish were lost when they were unable to be processed on the beach.

The fishermen have been working since Sunday to clean up the spill, with many left floating in the bay.

Residents at Peaceful Bay claimed they were threatened by the fishermen when they complained.

Fisheries WA regional manager Phil Shaw said there was still a market for the fish, as they could be used for lobster bait.

He said fishermen regretted the losses.

The fish were lost because the school was misjudged in poor light.

The weight of the catch forced the rear of the net to burst open.

He said commercial fishermen were operating under a code of conduct, but it was not a legal requirement.

When Lorenzo Booker decided to return for his senior season, it was a decision that would have a positive effect on the younger backs.

Booker struggled at times last season partly due to an offensive line depleted by injuries.

With highly recruited newcomers Russell Ball joining the team and the return of Antone Smith and Jamaal Edwards, the Seminoles have reasons to be excited about the future.

Renegade Report.com finds out the latest on the running back situation from the people who would know best.

Head Coach Bobby Bowden Q: How has the running game been coming along?

A: “It is coming.

We are making progress there is no doubt about it.” Bowden said.

“Sometimes I wish we could just run the ball every down just to see what we can do.

All the backs have been doing some good things.

It has been encouraging.

We have gotten some good w...
