Plea... Future events... The Nantucket Diet provides a meal planner which allows flexibility within any daily calorie level. Conway Caspe is a fashion model, working and living in the Boston area and on Nantucket. She is a fourth generation descendant of one of the original settling families of Nantucket. A mini-lunch will take place at 11:30 a.m. preceding the program. This series of monthly events by the Women's Community League of Weston is co-sponsored by the various affiliated groups of the League. Sociables is in charge of this event, which is open to all members of the League and prospective members. The League is a nonprofit service organization that raises and provides funds for high school scholarships, based on financial need and achievement, and community projects as the needs arise. Money raised has been used for a room at the library, computers for the Police and Fire departments, bulletproof vests for the police, financial help for the Fire Department, an air-conditioned bus for the Council on Aging, a tractor for the nonprofit Land's Sake Farm, funds for METCO students, subsidizing student psychological counseling, and aiding the Community Directory for Substance Abuse, the Boston Food Bank, battered women's groups and many local and community agencies.
