The Benton boys scored 14 points.

The Benton girls scored three points.

Two years later, the Benton boys scored 34 points for fourth place and the girls scored eight points for fifth place.Benton then developed into a perennial contender for team honors in both divisions.

In 2004, Benton won team titles in both divisions.

The Benton girls carried a streak of six consecutive parish titles...
